Conducted optimization drive testing on Sprint's iDen network using Agilent's E6474A Wireless Network Optimization Platform. Worked one-on-one with customers to troubleshoot performance-related complaints for both interconnect and dispatch calling by testing signal strength, co-channel interference and handoff behavior, and, when appropriate, by looking for topographical obstructions or shifts in antenna azimuths that could account for the poor performance. Mapped site footprints and sector coverage on new and modified sites throughout eastern North Carolina, and helped RF engineers fine-tune sectorizations and concentric cell conversions in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Performed site inspections to verify proper antenna azimuths and downtilts, and conducted controlled-space EMF measurements. Performed CW testing on multiple cell site candidates throughout eastern North Carolina.

Coordinated and conducted software and hardware testing on prototype Sony Ericsson GSM phones by capturing and analyzing log files under both static and mobile conditions using various testing and post-processing programs in the U.S. and overseas. Tested all network-related functions, including call processing, voice quality, PTT, and data functions such as WAP, EDGE, and MMS, in order to identify software weaknesses and make handsets ready for commercial launch. Organized and kept track of department SIM accounts by creating and maintaining an Access database and working with operators to verify and track proper voice, data, and special feature plans for each account. This process involved the management of more than seventy-five SIM accounts and thousands of dollars. Managed the development and implementation of MOS testing for prototype phones and trained testers on MOS and MOS testing tools.

Provided support and supervision for technicians performing AT&T Fixed Wireless installations at customer homes. Responsible for determining where to position the outdoor antenna to receive optimal signal reception and transmission, making final decisions with respect to installation, resolving maintenance issues by determining the cause and solution of airlink and hardware problems, and acting as chief onsite customer liaison. Used Grayson WMS, HP Spectrum Analyzer and AT&T proprietary software and hardware to determine if signal strengths would support voice and high-speed data lines. Regularly calibrated testing tools using HP waveform generator and spectrum analyzer to verify that measurements were accurate.
